Tips for Dating a Virgo Man

Updated on December 19, 2016

This dating article based on the astrology of the Virgo male is very tongue in cheek, so you must promise not to take offense before reading it! Virgo and me aren't really all that compatible, but I did once develop a maddening crush on a cute Virgo boy I met at a Halloween party. I can't recall his name at the moment, which is odd when you consider how long I stalked him for, back in the days when people actually used a home phone for such endeavors. I never got involved with another Virgo guy after him, stalking or otherwise, but that doesn't mean they aren't perfect for you and your star chart. Take a look!

Mr. Not Looking

This is not the same thing as not being interested, it's more that he's not actively searching for Ms. Right. It's just not something that takes precedence in his mind, cos he's too busy thinking about other things. And it's not that he won't fall madly in love when he meets her, either -- it's more that he won't realize it at the time and you'll need to thunk him over the head with something to drive it in. Once he realizes he's in love with you, he'll stay that way indefinitely. He's pretty dependable like that, albeit less than demonstrative in such situations. He won't shower you with gifts or flowers but you will feel his attentions all the same.

Mr. Possessive

The Virgo man does not want to hear or know about your exes. Being a woman, you can relate to this, so do not taunt him with these things. Do not leave old mementos around, do not wear expensive jewelry your ex gave you, unless you're prepared to lie about where it came from -- but be warned, if you lie to him about this and he catches you, he may dump you over it. He's not jealous per se, he just wants to know you belong to him and only him, and reminiscing over past gifts or past relationships makes him feel like your interest level is not as strong as his is, and he wants you to be on equal ground in that respect.

Mr. Discerning

Unlike most men, the Virgo male will not be impressed by your blonde hair and girlie anatomy if your brain is size of a pea. Not enough to warrant picking you up and taking you out on a date, anyway. This guy wants someone intelligent or no one at all. But hey, if you also happen to be built like Pam Anderson, he's probably going to be ok with that.

The Basics:

  • How to flirt with a Virgo man: Be intelligent
  • How to tick a Virgo man off: Be uncouth or impolite

  • How to scare a Virgo man off: Make him think you're still into your ex

  • How to get a Virgo man back: Prove your innocence in whatever made him dump you in the first place
