Gemini and Scorpio Long- and Short-Term Romantic Compatibility

Gemini and Scorpio: The Twins and The Scorpion

Scorpio is a water sign, but it’s fixed. How do you get fixed in water? That’s the key to Scorpio. Imagine someone staying upright in turbulent water. Intensity is the word that describes Scorpio. Gemini is Mutable Air.

I heard an astrologer say over 20 years ago that Gemini completely perplexes Scorpio because they cannot grab them and control them. Take the intense Scorpio and imagine them dealing with the fairy flitting up and about, around and down.

The Scorpion’s attempt to acquire power can have many manifestations. Gemini, being the one with “multiple personalities” can make Scorpio arrest their intensity. They know that Gemini is much more complicated than the average observer might see. The strangely, almost “hinky” part of this is that Gemini is not particularly overwhelmed by Scorpio. And yet the Scorpion’s ability to see through Gemini does not disable the Twin. They are almost like a fast gun fighter – “Just because you know I am fast, doesn’t mean you can beat me.”

Positive Postulate

These two are so basically different from one another; it is difficult to imagine their accidental meeting. Once this almost impossible meeting occurred, they would then have to start talking and discussing their divergent lives. Since this relationship could almost not occur, if it did occur, it would have to be honored as a happenstance of Fate. Attraction would probably be mutual, but positively speaking, the Scorpio would most likely find the Gemini enthralling and compelling. The Scorpio’s wisdom and penetrating insight could see in their Gemini what one might call a “divine mystery”.

Romance Recommendation

If there were attraction and somehow it became a relationship, one would have to see the powerful inner resources of Scorpio being entertained and enthralled by the mercurial spirit of Gemini.

Conflict Quotient

The key to understand here is that Gemini would not need to defend itself. The conflict that could arise between these two would be somewhat like trying to nail down with a hammer, the wing of a fluttering Tinkerbelle. Gemini’s “not caring” ways have a stunning effect on souls who are coming with a checkmating certainty. Have you ever beaten someone at cards who did not care about cards? Have you ever been beaten by someone at cards who did not even want to play cards?

Peace Parlay

Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: "Can we be bored together over the long term?" Scorpio will never be bored on the inside. There is just too much going on. They could look bored, and look boring, but not actually be so. Gemini breathes freedom and variety and their bored Scorpion could just sit there. They would wait for the next move with a full complement of options.

Keep Up The Interest Graph

If this highly unlikely relationship actually lasted long, it would probably be almost indestructible. Unlikely magnets would be slammed together with invisible power. They would be interested from both ends. Scorpio transfixed by ethereal Gemini. Gemini compelled by Scorpion power.

Seven Year Itchiness

There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns, as time goes on. Others are not. 7 years would not be of any particular to interest to Scorpio. If it were unhappy, it would go through tremendous inner disappointment, but it would not be because of the 7 year itch. If this Gemini were so frivolous as to be out and about in the circulating river of human relationships, it would probably quickly return to its Scorpion.

Astrocompatibility Possibility Rating: 80% Positive Long Term - 50% Short Term

As we have declared in this analysis, the unlikeliness of this relationship would provide an inevitability to it. Once the relationship got going, it could actually have a good chance, as human improbability goes.

I am currently dating a scorpio man, we are very in love with each other. So far our relationship has been great. Even though we are opposites in the zodiac, we are not really concerned with that. We balance each other out. He'll text me about 4 times in a day to check on me to find out how I'm doing, because he loves me and cares very deeply about. I'm the same towards him. I love him very much and care very deeply about him. We met 4 months on a dating website, and have been dating regularly. This Gemini woman loves her Scorpio man very much.

One of the first things I learned from Linda Goodman which seemed to be some kind of secret she had learned -- this was in the 70's in one of her books. She said Scorpio is vexed by Gemini because Scorpio is so animalistic and materialistic and able to push people around that they can't figure out Gemini. The Scorpio can not stab the Gemini. Power is not the same for a Gemini as all the other 11 signs. The flying fairy is so quick and so unable to be pinned down that Scorpio goes crazy trying to dominate the Gemini. WARNING: Gemini somehow knows this and becomes even more vexing to the Scorpion than they already naturally are. When the Gemini does something ON PURPOSE, they become almost perverse. That kind of fits what you were saying.

my husband is a gemini and i am a scorpio we have been married over 15 years and still going strong. many people have tried to break us up and this only brought the two of us closer together. a fair warning to those who would chance this relationship, when it's good it's good,(and that's most of the time these days & getting even better), but when it comes to arguments & jealousy issues,(we still have jealousy issues after all this time), you will probably have the whole neighborhood listening to you because when we have it out we have it out even to this day....married over 15 years and together as a couple well over 18 years but some of the very best years that i would not trade for anything...
